I always knew you were alive.
I knew it.
But everybody said I had to stop saying that... that I had to let you go.
I love you.
You're the love of my life.
I love you too, Kelly.
More than you'll ever know.

I have no intention of infringing copyright or making any money.
I just posted the famous scenes from the movie because I wanted to share them with many people including myself.

Telling her she had to go is love in it's truest and hardest form.

This scene was so hard to watch. They truly love each other but you can’t blame her for moving on and starting a family she had no idea. It’s truly so hard to watch him let her go knowing full well they can’t be together. That’s life kids, that’s life…..

She wasn’t ready to move on but the world told her too. And now for her the most painful thing is knowing she was right that he was alive.

This one just tears me up every time. Each time I watch it there is something new. Today I picked up on her downward glance before he says the "..you've gotta go home" line. So subtle, like they are imagining exactly the same fantasy escape together but both know it is not their fate. Wow, epic scene from a flawless film. Now, where's my tissues?

When I first watched this, I thought Jack basically forced Kelly to go home. When I watch it now, I realise that Kelly was trying to tell him she had to go home but couldn't find the strength to come out and say it.. so Jack said it for her.

24 years later and still makes me cry with tears of joy. An example of true love.

You can tell the deep sadness, behind that slight smile and downward look, when Chuck tells Kelly “you have to go home”… they never stopped loving each other, but life decided otherwise for them both… 🥺🥺

Very touching scene

To love someone so much and to understand that she has a family now … it’s heartbreaking.

I know she loves him but the reality is … she just has to go home

Heartbreaking

Incredible depth to this movie. I find the movies I enjoy the most are relatable to my own life. I wasn't Cast Away but I loved and lost from circumstance. My ending was different and I thank God every day for my beautiful wife.

People who have never had to look at someone man or woman and tell them goodbye when you truly love that person will not truly understand this and lets hope you never do.

This was the first movie my then girlfriend in high school and I first saw - actually we weren’t even dating yet. 23 years later and I still remember this movie. We showed the kids this movie recently — it was kind of weird realizing how much time has passed.

The only time when you can’t get mad at your wife for kissing another man.

One thing I didn't notice until seeing it here is when Chuck says, "you have to go home" for Kelly as they both know that they can't go on despite their love for each other, he turns his head forward again and a single tear runs down his face among all of the raindrops. That combined with the swelling of the music is the perfect punctuation to this moment Chuck was dreading for years. The one thing anyone in his position doesn't want to hear, that he truly lost the love of his life.

This is the best scene in any romantic movie in history.
