Throughout the years there have been a lot mario games like super mario world, super mario 64, super mario sunshine, new super mario bros, new super mario galaxy, super mario 3d land, super mario 3d world, super mario run, super mario bros 3 and not too long ago they released the new super Mario odyssey for the nintendo switch which has all kinds of new characters like cappy and locations like the sand kingdom, new donk city and bowsers kingdom. In these games we have seen power ups like the fire flower, ice flower, super mushroom, mega mushroom, super star, hammer suit, spring mushroom and way more. But there were power ups that helped mario, luigi, toad, princess peach, rosalina and the others to escape bowser, the broodals, koopalings and bowser jr. I always felt the super mario galaxy series where just as linear as 3d land and world. It had fixed cameras just like 3d land and small areas (planets to run around) Galaxy is not open world.

Not bitching about M64 not getting first spot. However, there are two ways to judge games. 1. By comparing them to other games throughout time. 2. By comparing them to games in the same year they were created.
Yes, Mario 64 had flaws, but for the year 1996, it is one of the best games of all time. Of course, it's gonna have obvious flaws compared to more modern games, but it was a game changer for its time which makes it uniquely awesome.

Mario tiiiime! Its kinda hard to answer that question objectively personally. Too much nostalgia makes me very biased in taste.
Super Mario 64 hit me the hardest growing up xD so its always #1 followed by Odyssey in #2 (which is on the complete other spectrum in age lmao)

You mentioned the three games that will soon leave the eshop and physical in-store releases after March 31st. Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Mario Galaxy as part of the All Stars package. I bought my digital copy last month so luckily I don't have nothing to worry about but the people that still doesn't have this game I hope your able to do so as time is running out.

I so wish to see what Super Mario Sunshine could have been if it hadn't been rushed so badly.
Don't get me wrong, Sunshine is by far my favourite Mario game ever even in its final state. But still I would love to see how much better it could have been if it wasn't for time constraints.

I still have yet to play Galaxy 2 actually but I love Galaxy and Odyssey best. I can’t choose. Then, I think I’d say Bowser’s Fury. I can’t decide between Sunshine and 3D World. Then 64. Then 3D Land lol
