Block lifting (Dutch subtitles)

This movie gives an impression of the excavation at Crustumerium in central Italy, 20 km north of Rome. It's an ancient Latin site which started in the 9th century before Christ.

The excavation is a collaboration between the Groningen Institute of Archaeology and
the Italian Archaeological Service. 2nd year students get their training in Mediterranean archaeology and work together with Master students, staff of the GIA and Italian excavators.
