can u tell me sir y in the first example ( that vacuum one) it is not in A.P. coz a constant value that is 1/4 is being removed after every operation so it should be in A.P.?

Where is that 1 coming from in 1st question [V(1-1/4)]. Why after v it is multiplied by 1 and then subtracted by 1/4 it could be subtracted directly by 1/4 without writing Pls reply
