Peugeot sued Porsche because during WW2, Porsche and many high members of the company were really close to Hitler (like best friends) and Porsche forced Peugeot industry to make missiles for Germany, deported almost all high members of Peugeot and even executed one as a warning. So, many years later, Peugeot simply got their little revenge… (Peugeot didn’t sue BMW or Ferrari even tho they were using names with the "0" in the middle). Fun fact, Peugeot did everything they could to not make missiles, they even destroyed parts of their industry by themselves to not make one, and they amazingly never made one single missile for Germany!

on 13, the 917 (nine one seven, not nine seventeen) didn't have a v12, it had a flat 12 made from 2 flat 6s, because porsche had experience making the flat 6, but not any 12 cylinder, as the f6 is whats been used in the 911 since its birth

When it comes to the question of what vehicle in Porsche‘s lineup saved Porsche from bankruptcy, a more accurate statement would be the Boxster I would argue saved Porsche because it kept the lights on and the money flowing from it’s successful sales from 1996 to 2003 for them to make their next big project, which was the Porsche Cayenne SUV which made it debut in 2003 as the base model with the 3.6 L V6 with a six speed tip, Tronic automatic transmission or an optional six speed manual which no one really got so it’s a rare option Porsche released two new versions of the cayenne, the Cayenne, S and the Cayenne turbo S the turbo S was the one with the 4.8 L V8
