I have two Porsches, a 911 GT3 RS which is my favourite, and a 718 Cayman S, which is my daily driver. So you know, Porsche has won Le Man 19 times, last in June 2017, three years in a row with the 919.

How has the Carrera gt not been mentioned!!!! An actual beast. One of the best sounding cars and also one of the last manual supercars. I understand why, by everything is automatic now

5 things you REALLY didn't know about Porsche:

1. In 1994 Porsche won the 24h Le Mans with a 962 in the GT1, due to the fact that a manufacturer called "Dauer" rebuild the 962 Group C-Racecar street legal.

2. Actually Porsche owns more than 50% of VW, but not as Porsche, but as Porsche Holding.

3. For the Carrera GT they used an engine, which was designed for a car competing in the 24h Le Mans Race, which was later cancelled.

4. Due to FIA regulations Porsche was allowed to place the enginge of the 911 RSR 2017 in front of the rear axle.

5. Porsche had a large problem with the water-cooled engines of the 996/997 Carrera and 996/997 Carrera S which caused nearly 30% of them getting broken at around 100.000km
