The largest and most powerful space telescope ever built has been launched into space from South America.

Scientists hope the James Webb telescope will help humans better understand the formation of stars and galaxies that are more than 13 billion years old.


Al Jazeera’s @Manuel Rapalo reports from the launch site in Kourou, French Guiana.

The vehicle reached 1200km altitude in thirty minutes that was the marvelous human achievement. It now have to cross one and a half million km in 30 days to reach its destination.

I can't find live coverage or update news, why? If it's available it's not easy to find. I think it is very close to extending the heat shield, or maybe that has already happened.
