Animating a Children's Book Illustration!

In this After Effect & Photoshop workflow tutorial, I break down my process for animating a children's book illustration, including a four-legged run cycle, character's wavy hair, and subtle moving background. I'm using this amazing illustration from the talented Furry Little Peach. This is the cover of her 2nd children's book - Bandits, coming out on 29.09.2020.

Every time I watch your vids I learn 60 new things... by the time I get into after effects I've forgotten 55 of them, but I'm still up on the deal. Thank you so much for all of this.

Currently working on a TV show that has the art style of a children's book, but the depth and emotional impact that is geared toward an older audience. This is the only tutorial I've seen that teaches what I'm looking for! Thank you!

Ben’s sound effect when he’s showing the movement on the foreground tree lololll!

This turned out so nicely! I agree that doing the texture frame-by-frame adds a ton of subtle harmony with the source material. Sometimes there’s just no way around doing it the long way!

Thinking about how the final result will look is what makes me loves to work frame-by-frame. This is lovely, found the info on your IG, and it popped in my YT.

Thank you for including how long it took. It is a shame, that in our branch of profession, we constantly have to compare ourselves with each other. But it is really crucial that we do not undersell ourself and can shield us from clients, which do not understand our time schedule.
