I agree auto express isnt the most reliable auto journalist site. However autocar and carbuyer have given it many awards already and not to mention its world car of the year in just a few months of its debut. Its not crap, its pure genius

Older Focus' yes, they were reliable. My friend has one and beats it to a pulp all day every day. However my moms friend has a 2012 Focus and has had problems since day 1.

Good review.
I drove the 1.4 TSi a few weeks ago and was extremely impressed. Fantastic quality inside, great level of kit and the 1.4 felt very keen. In NZ they are well positioned in terms of price.
In terms of styling? to me it doesn't move me at all and therefore, for my family we prefer our Civic Euro spec.

Button starters are only gimmicks, you still need the key either inserted somewhere in the car or on your person.
If you've got a car where you don't physically put the key anywhere can you still select how active you want it to be when you're only sitting in it or do you have to start the engine if all you want to do is listen to the radio or open a window.
As in most cars where you turn the key have positions going from radio on to electronics on then engine and everything on.
