Apollo 10 Highlights Tape

Back in the early 1980's I found out that NASA would record edited highlights of the air-to-ground from various spaceflights, onto cassette tapes, if I sent
them the tapes!

So, many cassette tapes were sent, and I still have them all, despite the "tapes" being available to download for many years.

I know that many space nuts like myself listened to these tapes many times and they were a constant background soundtrack.

What, I wondered, would it be like to bring those tapes to life with just visuals
from the space simulators....well, here is the result....a bit of fun and nostalgia!

I see that you have the thermal insulation wrapped around the F-1 engines — this is often incorrectly omitted by modelers and computer graphics producers — excellent job!

Argh! Youtube pushes me the notification 36 minutes after the premiere starts which lasts 34 minutes! What is my luck?! I’m sure this video will be incredible though, and from the first few seconds I’ve seen so far it’s looking amazing - especially the recreations of the historic launch angles! Those KSP graphics are mind blowing, especially the plume modifications

Out of humble curiosity, does everyone who watches this understand it’s CGI interpretation? The only thing that looked real was the final parachute down. But I must be a simple minded unscientific uncultured mind. Please correct me
