You all know there are a LOT of states in the US where you can get married at 10, 11, 12 years old with your parents permission right? Since 2015 over 200, 000 minors have been married. There is no such thing as “back in the day” when it is happening right now.

If this shocks you so much how about helping to pass laws to stop this from happening? I’m looking at you California, Michigan, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Washington especially since you have ZERO age limit with parental permission.

If this bothers you look up your own state and make some noise! Send a damn email, make a post. Don’t just ignore what is happening to kids out there.

I know the seeing pictures and emotions are happy. It just bothers me, because I’m 44 and my mother met my father when she was about 14. He was 26 years older than her. He was also a pretty famous radio d.j. He passed away before I was 10 years old. So I never really knew the history of how they met and everything. I can say that if I had a chance as an adult to talk to him I would tell him how disappointed and ashamed I am of him. My mother wasn’t the first time he did this. My mom was the third marriage. They allowed so many children to be swept up my men that knew better and had no repercussions for what they did. There is so much more to the story but it doesn’t change how I feel about my own father. 💔

Yikes and ya just never know look at Loretta Lynn's story and crazy sick situations happened even back then and yikes and wow Susan does look like her grandma..and I don't think she's exaggerating for tv she's one of the least Hollywood drama starters I heard she's pretty honest and down to earth and I can believe it..and sadly back in the old days you did see young marriages but that's awful young and awful gross even for back then..my great aunt married at 15 in the 1950s in farm country but her husband was 17 and he wasn't able to marry her till he secured some land and built a house and got a job and saved up for a ring and proved himself he did everything great grandfather asked and more for the gal he loved he even enlisted in the military for better pay and insurance and my aunt had 50 beautiful years with my uncle and 3 kids and many grandchildren lol..but theirs was a happy story and they were bout the same age and both families agreed to it and liked each other..but this story's is sad and good grief and just yikes 😳
