my mom actually woke up super early to cook all of us customized lunch. my sister and dont eat the same thing, my father eats entirely different things. so she got about 4 hours of sleep if it is a good day.
I grew up with such care from my mom that everyone envied and now i envy everyone who has a healthy mom at my age.
my mom is paying the price of being the perfect mom by having a wide array of health issues and is in chronic pain.
so my point is, even pbj is better lunch. just ensure you all take care of yourselves just as well as you take care of your children

I’ll never forget my dad preparing everything the night before and waking up early in the morning just to make me a healthy and cute bento boxes. It always warms my heart whenever I think about it.❤️❤️

Bento boxes look so cool! I wish I had a place to eat my home lunch comfortably because a lot of the time when I bring my mom's cooking to school I get weird looks, even if it is delicious :, )

Growing up I always wanted my mom to make me bentos but being a single parent, she said she didn’t want to wake up early just to make me something that I’ll eat in a couple of minutes.

2 birthdays ago I received a bento lunchox from friend. As soon as a I got it, I prepared my lunch for the next day. Still use it to this day and I get to finally accomplish that dream of eating a bento.

My mom always wake up at 4.30 to 5.00 am cause we need to do morning prayer, and i went back to sleep and she would be super busy at the kitchen to prepare food

My grandmother was the one packing our lunches and she usually wakes up at 4:30 to start meal prep (including cooking rice). Then she would wake me and my siblings up at 5 AM so that we could get dressed and eat breakfast. Then we'd leave at 5:45-6 AM with my dad driving us.

Now that I live away from the family home most of the time, I really appreciate all the times I never had to worry about what food I will prepare/eat.
