The problem is, Ukrainian Nationalism is Russo-phobic and uncompromising...which suits US geopolitical goals in Eurasia.

The Ukrainian forces back in WW2 was on Adolf’s side and also had their Ukrainian SS troops and was highly regarded by Adolf himself

Give away the east to Russia, and help build a new industrial center somewhere in the west area? It's not ideal, but, Russia won't give up, and they don't have to give up, because there is no one able to stop them.. If I was king of Ukraine, I would beg for interest free aid from the EU and relative nations in the west, and beyond Russia to the east, to build up the economy in the west, and finally cut ties with Russia, because they've done enough damage as it is to everyone around them.

As long as the regime in Ukraine adopts a hostile policy and remains an extension of the countries under NATO and ignores the historical ties of the past, this will put Russia in a position to continue to protect against future infiltration disorders by all means to liberate territories and cities -the city at least reaches the Dniper river which will become a buffer zone for state security.
