Now, 8 years after this video was posted, the video acquired a historical depth. Much to think about.

The woman on the phone said "At least if they give us autonomy, I would agree to trat. I don't think that in Russia Putin needs us" and the reporter translated it: "we want autonomy, we don't want to be part of Russia", which is false.

7 years ago there was good coverage from BBC in this Donbass report. But now we won't get it anymore.

What a shocker! But that part of the past is swept under the rag and conveniently forgotten.

However, reporter didn't understand what the women said. The russian women said: "We want to be at least autonomy, because Putin doesn't want us".Reporter said " We don't want to be with Russia".  Please, travel with a translater at  least, if you do not understand everything what people say in Russian.

I apreaciate this video BBC 7 years later and it's still relevant today. Sad to see they thought there wouldn't be a war.

What happened to these high standards of honest journalism the BBC had that we were so proud of? Those days have surely gone. Peace and love.

Such a shame. I understand Kruschev was Ukrainian but why on earth did he make Crimea part of Ukraine? Actions have consequences.
