That French contact was insane, the reaction time and control to just clip the rudder and not collode at high speed. Insane reflex and maneuver in this sport. What a tragedy for Australia with that foil but I think Spain had it anyway but maybe not if they came off the foil like that at the end too. Fantastic race.

1:15:48 The fact that a boat is blocking Aus and it's just kinda brushed away is mindboggling to me. Someone decided that the entire season should rest on one single race, and in that race there is a blatant hinderance on the course. How on earth do you not restart the race at that point? Completely ruined it for me and made a mockery of all the effort the Teams have put in to get to this point.

Also absurd to negate all performances over an entire season and basically decide it based on who can get one single good start. As a neutral it felt absolutely absurd to see Spain butcher basically every start the entire weekend, but barely get to the final when France fucks up, And then they hit one single good start and are suddenly the Champions? Really? That massive point lead New Zealand had accumulated over the entire season was just thrown away in favour of a single race that was decided by the start and a random ass boat interfering?

If this sport wants to be taken seriously it needs serious rules. This was an absolute circus. As someone who's really enjoyed watching some of the actual racing, I have now absolutely no desire to watch the next season when I can just tune in for the last race. Please do better with this sport, it has so much potential and it deserves better than this shit.
