I already used the parcel box near us, as it's just on the way to work, but it's been a life saver in this situation I haven't been in the post office so far.
Hermes collection from home was also great.

You can get a courier to pick up from your storage units. Hermes have often collected from mine.

Also the my hermes drop off shops are not letting you sign anything now - they ask your name & sqiggle it themselves & hand you the slip of paper. I dropped off a load of parcels yesterday & the lady was really rude - when I tried to make small talk with her - & asked if people were dropping off lots at once to save on trips out - she said in a sarcastic voice - ‘no as sending parcels isn’t a necessity is it?’ - so I said to her actually for some people it is - as it’s how they pay their bills & feed their kids!! She didn’t reply to that!!
