An 80s hair metal band came out with a bone chilling serious, and apocalyptic song that could be a reality

Thank you for this video. Dog Eat Dog is really underrated!
Their attitude is still there so it's coherent, who knows what Warrant could give us without the '90s witch hunt. On the other hand Ultraphobic was the real sell-out album, a really bad attempt to follow the trend
April 2031 hit me since the first time that I heard it back in 1998 and the children chorus is just chilling!
If somebody is readin', please check this album, it's full of hidden gems like All My Bridges Are Burning, April 2031, Bonfire and so on, and, according to me, it was one of the best 1992 album!
A little trivia: the band Dog Eat Dog published in 1993 the EP called Warrant.

couple of things here, anybody with any common sense can tell this song is about a nuclear fall out. causing climate changes. This is one of my favorite songs, by a great band. They are not predicting climate change, they are predicting what life would be like after a nuclear war.

You do know that this song is about the aftermath of nuclear war, right?

I'll explain it to you. Look on the album cover . It is the Missouri river, a volcano on left and sunshine top right, for me, my Native American name. I wrote the music for Jani, which was written before 1972. Jani wanted the dogs, so I had him make the dogs showing their teeth...:-) Jani wrote the lyrics, mostly from our conversation the night I gave him my music, around 1979. I can't read or write music. I wrote my music down on paper using dots and lines for guitar strings. It took me a while drawing all those lines with a ruler...;-) Jani, along with many other bands I wrote for, then had to get the notes before their band could learn how to play my music and write lyrics. After Heaven was written, I did have Jani change a few words. I didn't want beneath the lucid burning sky. Most musicians wouldn't change anything, so I stopped checking their lyrics. The night I gave Jani the music for this album, I was unable to write it down, so Jani tape recorded it and then wrote down the musical notes so the band could learn it. The price I charged Jani for this album, was that he Never stay in a place with the word INN in the name. Jani was always true to his word, so I know he would have never stayed in that motel in CA, thus he was murdered.
Every musician I wrote for had to swear on the Bible and agree to obey The Ten Commandments, after first becoming my blood brother...;-) Most musicians were only charged a fee of one favor, whenever I asked for it. (Now I've been asking to help save the Missouri river).
You see, this album portrays the prophecy of what Natives Americans have been taught, by the Great Spirit, God. Which is when the Missouri River runs black all clean water on earth will be polluted. It was known as the Black Snake, since the Missouri. river was shaped like a snake and oil is black. When Jani was drawing designs for the album cover, my mother brought in the encyclopedia and we looked up Missouri river, so Jani could draw it exactly as it was...:-) Clean water flows underneath the Missouri River and flows to all places on earth, just like blood flows through our veins to all parts of our body. Without clean water, no one will survive. Jani asked me when it would occur and what montb. As I explained to Jani, it wouldn't be that accurate, since Free Will comes into play and it could occur sooner...as it is appearing to do so, since the oil pipeline was put underneath the Missouri river. It must be removed in order to save the planet.
Oh, as a song writer, I also had my say with the bands, what the band should be called, etc. All of the band's I wrote for, were in the seventies. Some bands took longer to release the music and become publicly known. I had Jani sit on one song I gave him, which he wrote the lyrics, serial killer, to. I found it on YouTube a while back. I had Jani re-do the lead 6 times. I couldn't play lead guitar after 1972, since I had an accident and severed a finger that was re-attached. I also didn't want the band Warrant, performing it. My music, my say! Jani and I met as kids, before he started using the name Jani...:-) I'm working on my second book, for non profit, which explains my life and why I had the band's keep my identity private- a condition that went with my music.
Oh, you don't believe all this? I put proof in one of my songs, performed by Whittney Houston-I will always love you. Play the song, off one of first million albums sold, without lyrics, and I believe at a faster speed. You will hear me and my message...:-) I called it, etched in stone! I'm required to love everyone, by God. I wrote the music and lyrics to this song and one other. I didn't want to do all the work, so I then had the band's write the lyrics to my music, so they would have a feeling of earning it...;-)
I also released music to one guy, who talked me into doing a music autobiography . That song is Drift Away...which was to try to explain to everyone I wrote for, why I did it...:-) I only wrote one song for him.
Anyway, I hope you can Let The People know about the Black Snake. Time is running out....Tic Toc

This is a really cool song, but I think it will take a little longer for it to be a reality

This is a standard "apocalyptic future / nuclear war" story, which has been around for hundreds of years. Swing and a miss.
