With Play! I still hope that it would be successful in making a fully working emulator. I tried it a few times to check on it's performance and it definitely has a long way to go. I have a bit of issues with it, performance mainly, but also the lack of control customizations. But I wish the Devs of Play! all the best in their endevours on improving their emulator. The dedication to improving it is admirable!

Valve is also like Bethesda and is not against mods at all. I don't mean the Workshop, but about their own games. Hell mod creators are allowed to sell games from their IP, like the Half-Life remake Black Mesa or many other mods sold as standalone games.

I 100% agree with you. You can say what you want about Bethesda, letting the mod community do their thing and even support them with tools and engines is commendable. Imagine Rockstar would let the fans do what they want.

Glad to see any new update on Play! Also, the Switch homebrew scene seriously needed a player like vlc or (like in that case) mpv for long. It'd just make this device soo much better provided it's modded and certainly in the future, network streams could be played back as well.

Glad to see more updates on NooDS. It goes under the radar, but is super functional and quickly catching up. Even loads certain games that Drastic can't and runs on hardware that MelonDS can't.

Really need self updates in all these emulators, such a pain constantly updating them all on Android from multiple sources, especially when many aren't on Play Store or updated across platforms.

Emulation is simply my childhood wish of owning every video game manifesting into reality, just thirty years later. I take full credit for the existence of emulation. Do you mean that someone has finally made good-looking low-poly Doom models (other than, of course, the Voxel Doom ones)? Awesome. Those models would be good even in just the first-person game.
