Some people or situations just seem insane to him...he is probably a very deep and introspective person, these people are usually prone to severe bouts of social anxiety. They are reluctant to ever enter into these superficial "small talk" situations but speaking to them one-on-one...they change your life forever.

As soon as I saw him rubbing the chair constantly, I knew he was anxious. Then Conan made a remark about the chair rubbing, which he shouldn't have done, and Harrison tried to avoid it, but couldn't. I love Harrison, he's such a legend, now I feel a bit more related to him since apparently we share the same anxiety, social anxiety. When I feel embarrassed or get nervous my hands always play with something, or rub my knees, obsessively. That's what he was doing during that interview (which is a very stressful situation for obvious reasons). I hate talking about myself to people and apparently he hates it as well and gets nervous. He's not on drugs, nor awkward, nor "weird", we're all weird. He's brilliant and he deserves more roles and deserves the very best.

Whenever I hear people say that Harrison Ford is grumpy, I watch him on Conan. He has a dry wit. I think he's hilarious!
