Functional capacity, assessments or evaluations are used to determine return to work restrictions, accommodations, and job placement. They can also be used for disability determinations or in determining impairment ratings. 
An accurate and thorough functional capacity evaluation report can make the difference in determining proper placement for individuals post-injury or in preventing re-injury.
An FCE at Therapeutic Rehab Specialists frequently takes 4-5 hours to perform and should include multiple components such as range of motion testing, strength testing, sensation testing, gripping and pinching strength as well as consistency of effort and pain reports.
