This process applies to any decision that a person with dementia is included on. Im new to this journey and appreciate seeing in real time how decision making can be approched.

You DON'T have to do a root canal like he's 'encouraging'/pushing and the patient seemingly doesn't want, but you do have to pick an option. After 5 minutes he finally gives other options. I understand this is not the point of this video and I do like the way he speaks to him but what if the patient has felt pressured to have the root canal like my husband did $3, 000 later without discussion with me.

I wouldn't know how to answer either, because he just explained "why." My first reaction would be that he wants a different answer from what he just said. If he asked me to repeat what he said, I would know what to say. But that's just me.
