40 years old and I feel so amazed with all the cool tech of today. I could never have dreamed of half the toys I own now as an adult! Touchscreen phones, tablets, voice assistants...heck, even my watch! Far surpasses anything I could've hoped for as a kid!

"The Jetsons" sure is one of the shows with technologies that come true. I've seen a self-driving car in an anime and in other videos. I've also seen drones on TV📺. One of my friends has one. I have a smartphone, but it no longer works. People need to be aware of their surroundings when looking at their phones.

Minority Report…so many things…the biggest one, swiping technology. I remember thinking that is so cool. Now we do it all the time on our devices.

Actually the wrist communicator goes back a bit further as Dick Tracy comics had them for the radio in 1946 and later made them TV in 1964. There's even a funny reference to this in 1967's Casino Royale where Peter Sellers is being given one in spy training!

The Zenon trilogy also predicted the I-Phone. I personally would love to see some based on them.

There is a novel where the story starts with a small group of teenagers exploring a computer generated landscape as part of a game. A multi player computer simulation where the main character breaks the mood by trying to take the game to a place where the other players so not want to go. The players are in their respective homes communicating over computer networks. The book has computers that talk and respond to voice commands. Computers that have access to massive amounts of encyclopedic information. The book, The City and the Stars, was published in 1956

Number 5, the French documentary *_"La télévision, œil de demain"_* (1947) about portable TVs didn't predict _"Smart Phones"_ *it predicted portable TVs* (nobody was making phone calls or doing computer-like tasks on the things they were carrying around in that short clip). My mother bought as many of them as she could when I was growing up with her. The one that lasted the longest was a five-inch B&W TV with an AM/FM radio. It took nine D batteries and was a hearty little bastard! It was, obviously, not handheld, but she had a few of those too.
