I never thought much of Raymond Burr until I saw him outside of ironside and perry mason. His villains are awesome. He really makes you believe he is that guy so well. Even his small part in I love Trouble with Franchot Tone

Thanks for placing this old movie on Youtube. I was born in 1953 so part of my enjoyment is simply seeing actors I knew like Raymond Burr and Fred MacMurray when they were younger than I remember them. When Clair Trevor was part of the dancing girls and she was circling around Raymond Burr sitting I thought I was watching a skit by Lucille Ball.

These 'old classics' are a wnderful distraction, a haven from the chaos and madness
around us.

4:52 " No. Richie goes for tawdry, cheap-looking dames. "
That was a good compliment for Claire Trevor.

ARGH!! That scene at the 48:48 mark when they push that 40' Buick 4-door convertible over the cliff ALWAYS makes me wince! That thing is a RARE CLASSIC by today's standards.

Fred Macmurray telling her "don't ever lose that gadget baby", (referring to her cigarette lighter) while speeding down the road with a dead man in the back seat - love it !!!

@8:49, I wonder how many outtakes they had to redo when Raymond Burr busted out laughing while Claire Trevor was throwing her legs at him? That's talent~ to sit so stoic in the face of silliness.

Thank you ! Claire Trevor is absolutely Fabulous ! She was so moving in Stagecoach ( " La Chevauchée Fantastique "in french ) 🙏

Fred MacMurray was quite a catch, just as I see them on the beach roasting food caught from the sea

I was expecting something dark, but this movie ended up resembling "It Happened One Night". I'm not disappointed though - pretty darn good film!

It's my favorite Fred MacMurray movie!!! What a great one! If they could make at least half of such a good movie nowdays, I would pay 10 times the ticket price, to watch it in cinemas!!!!

It's amazing. Everytime I turn on a film noir, I see Raymond Burr playing a bad guy. I like him more as Perry Mason.

Fred MacMurray was one of the genuine good guys in Hollywood. He was able to keep his moral center in that cesspool.

The real sorrow is, there is no brave wise movie producer, who can choose to make such old fashion Noir movies. Not only people here on YouTube, I am sure, such movies can find a large niche.
BTW, if you want to make, remember that it should be in B&W.
