What if the Galaxy Knew Luke was Vader's Son? Star Wars Theory

In Star Wars, the galaxy didn't know that Vader was Luke's father. Only Luke Skywalker and Yoda knew this (and Leia in Jedi later on). What if the entire galaxy knew that Vader was Luke's father? How would this change things? How would it affect Luke? The Rebellion? The Empire?

I can just imagine a show being broadcast to the galaxy with Luke and Vader sitting on a couch and the Emperor opening an envelope saying "Lord ARE THE FATHER!"

I know it's not likely to ever happen, but imagine we get a moment where Luke is leading a rebel army in a battle with Rex being present and he refers to Luke as "Genereral Skywalker" like he did with his father in the Clone Wars. I know it's a small moment but man would I love it lol

Even if Leia was discovered to be Vader's daughter, people could still be sceptical about it since she's been known FAR longer as Princess Leia Organa, Daughter of Bail Organa and the Princess of Alderaan.

They'll probably think that it's just Imperial propaganda to discredit her and destroy her name.

Actually in legends Mon Mothma told Luke and Leia to not tell the galaxy who their father was after episode 6 until they did more to look better in the public eye. Years passed and after the Jedi Academy trilogy, during the black fleet crisis we know that Leia and Luke told the galaxy who their father was.

Some people hated them but most people were like hey they may be the children of Vader but they have proven themselves as heroes of the new republic.

I read a fanfiction that basically addressed this. Long story short, the rebel alliance arrests Luke thinking he's a double agent and Vader comes to save him.

What if Anakin never lost his arm in Attack of the clones?

How would a whole extra arm’s worth of biological matter, and a reduced reason to hate Dooku, affect the galaxy as a whole?

And when they find out Leia is also related, her political career would be over.

Luke would most likely go back to Dagobah & finish his training - then maybe go to the outer rim & search for any force sensitives. Let the Rebellion come to him/seek him out for help.

Let’s keep in mind that the galaxy knowing that Luke was “Anakin’s son” and “Vader’s son” are two very different things. The galaxy doesn’t know that Anakin is Darth Vader.

You know, I always think of this when I see Vader and Luke together in the hangar of the Death Star and the Stormtroopers are just passing by. I know they’re busy with eminent explosion and all, but you have to think at least one of them sees in their peripheral vision: “hold up, that’s my boss right there who’s seriously injured and he’s being carried away by a Jedi… what’s going on? “

I am seriously hoping that at some point in the Ashoka series they have Luke and Ashoka meet. When she learns who he is...mind bending.
