The plaid wainscoting’s actually beautiful. No one is looking THAT closely except for you. I love it. My husband also critiques his DIY’s… I’m always like WOW! You did this?! And he thinks it sucks 😂

Fake plants have come a long way, I just added a bunch to my outdoor reading area and it looks like a secret garden (as long as you don’t touch them)😂 but hey, way easier to take care of than ferns that are super stubborn lol gorgeous wor!!!

The staircase is impressive. The cabinets are great. The wainscoting is very good, but as you found out MDF is subject to moisture problems. You are a great craftsman ❤. Keep taking new challenges. Did you do the raised panels and shaped stiles and rails on the stairway ❤
