You have uploaded a nice video. This video had been more useful and interesting to the learners of German Language if genders of these words had also been given.
I wonder how you forgot to do that was most needed. I hope you
would rectify the omission and upload a new video for the benefit of one and all. Many many
thanks. Vielen Dank.

The first 3 words are derived from Latin I believe, and 7, and I'm guessing a lot more in this list. I wasn't expecting that.

So searched for what percent of German words are Latin based, first site says 5.6%. which is a lot! One word in 20.

Searching for percent of words similar between German and English I'm getting all sorts of answers. 80 of the top 100 words used in both languages are similar, of the common words used in both languages I see estimates up to 60%, but also as low as 20% for daily language spoken.

I'm confused and I'm hungry, or I'd get a definite answer 😅

⚠️ You forgot "August"... And many others. Perhaps you could do a 1000 similar words also. ❤️

You’re supposed to learn German with Der, Die or das in front of the word you’ll never learn the words without, because later, as you progress in grammar, you’re gonna have to know it

good video, i enjoyed it, its not surprising though, as English, is, even if has diverged quite a bit from its root, still a Germanic language.

which even had genders, and more depth to it. For example, nominative, accusative, inquisitive, et-cetera,
but in truth we have a mix of Old Norse, Old German / Saxon, Latin, some Greek, A healthy dose of French,

a little old Briton/Celtic, and i'm sure a good amount of loan words and twisted or mispronounced,
ones as in Ypres becoming Wipers in English pronunciation during the First World War.and im sure there a many more examples

Kein Wunder! Die meisten Worte haben einen lateinischen Ursprung, denn die Römer waren vor rund 2000 Jahren die "Besatzungsmacht" in großen Teilen Europas, natürlich auch in England. Angeblich stammen mehr als 50 % der englischen Wort aus dem Lateinischen!
