I have the same but mine have 1mm error if use manual. Luckily that digital measurement can be set at 0 in any position.

I use these exact same calipers for my watch reviews. They work well and appear to be fairly accurate. In my case I actually prefer the plastic tips because I don’t want to scratch the watches!
