The series appeared monthly throughout much of 1956, this part of the episode was hosted by Libby Horne Burnside (August 20, 1944–February 29, 2020)
The guitarist is Kenneth Ray "Thumbs" Carllile, and has created his own style, playing flat and using his thumb, hence his nickname, but he sometimes uses these fingers.

Originating "from the heart of the Ozarks", the Saturday night variety series helped popularize country music in America's cities and suburbs, drawing more than nine million viewers.
The ABC Radio version was heard by millions more starting in August 1954.
