good point about the USB power supply. i use google maps and play music from an iphone plugged in through USB on a 2014 hyundai sonata, same problem. mine doesn't drain, but it just barely maintains the same battery level over hours of driving. starts to charge if i turn my screen brightness down and shut off google maps. shame they still haven't fixed it years later. toyota camry charges my phone super quick with everything running. only option is to use a fast car charger plugged into the DC outlet then connect a separate 3.5mm cable for the audio to come out of the phone. annoying to plug/unplug 2 cables every time you enter and exit the vehicle.

Antuan cannot grow a beard. However, I do like his reviews.

Android just uses so much more battery, thats why. I had a galaxy that I used on my Hyundai and yeah, i would end up with less battery some times, every time if i was using nav. But when I switched to iphone, my phone would still charge no matter what. Also annoying about android was that if there were updates for Android auto, you coudn't use the damn thing unless you updated, so fucking annoying and its not like i have auto updates because that would chew up battery. So you get into the car, plug in and android auto would not start because you have updates. I do feel the interface for android auto is better than Carplay but carplay is more reliable for the reasons above. I love PlayerFM on android and maps but leaving in the morning only to be told you cant use it or ending up with less battery was just terrible.
