Extending the time the camera is active is a great idea. I'll definitely being turning on for use in the tiny parking lots over here in the UK.

Well done! I love the fact there is no background music running during the presentation.

Best class I ever attended. And I didn't fall asleep. Keep these classes going. There's always something new to discover.

I learn more abt my car from ur channel than any official KIA center anywhere on the planet... KIA should really pay attention to this cause u guys did a lot that benefits KIA community not just in ur country but globally

Peter, I did not realize those settings were there. I especially like the close up and the camera enabled with the pull forward feature. Nice to have those additional features. I’m going to try those out with my Kia.

My new Kia was driving me nuts with the backup camera not turning off when I shift to drive and having to park the car to get it to go off again. At least I know it's not a factory defect now and how to turn it off; wasn't even sure how it would be remotely useful, but your demonstration made it make more sense, so thanks for that as well.

I'll probably turn it off though, not sure why it was on by default...probably someone messing with the settings during a test drive or something like that...

Thanks for the great tips. My 2021 Seltos does not have the option to zoom the back-up camera, but it does have the 'extend rear camera use' option, which I find quite useful. However, to access it, after touching 'Display' in the setup menu, I had to hit the 'Advanced Options' button.

This is a great video and all of the features you mention are things I complained about being missing in my 2019 Niro EV backup camera, especially the ability to stay on when in another gear. This is actually something I had mentioned in one of my older videos. It's nice to see that Kia has improved the settings.

Helpful, keeping the camera on while you drive forward to fine tune your parking, very useful. Thanks

Hi Peter! Is that 'extend rear camera use' "part of the equipment" or just option in display settings? I ask, because i do have that option but nothing happened, actually there is no different when I changed from Reverse to something else, rear camera display just turned off almost instantly. I own Sportage (QL) 2021, black edition, 8" standard-class Gen5W navigation (purchased in Serbia/Europe). I did software update from kia official update site in december '22. Thanks and regards from Serbia.

Thank you! I figured out how to use my camera in my 2021Sorento while in drive by extending the settings by watching this video.
