How to mix and refill your POSCA PAINT PENS marker by using these 5 easy tips and tricks. Make your own colors with POSCA PAINT PENS is taught by Hawaii Artist WELZIE. With over 20 years of experience using the POSCA PAINT PENS Welzie gives you lots of information on mixing colors and how to make your own colors successfully your first time.

Welzie’s artwork is shown throughout the Hawaiian Islands. He gained a grassroots following for his artwork when he started the popular Hawaii longboard brand Two Crows Surfboards. His unique approach to colors and the resin and fiberglass medium grabbed peoples attention.

Growing up Welzie was always making art inspired by his father who was a graphic designer. Going to UH Manoa Welzie studied art all while surfing and building boards and doing art on them for all the famous surfers on Oahu’s famous North Shore.

While making surfboards in his surfboard factory and spending less time in his studio painting acrylic on canvas, Welzie turned to fiberglass and resin as his medium to pursue his creative endeavorers.

Welzie’s work is collected and loved by people all over the world. His signature Art Gallery is at the Andaz Wailea on Maui where he is their Artist in Residence.

Thank a for this video it was super helpful. I mixed a really light green in in a nearly empty ivory body using a new ivory and a light green so now I have my mixed super light green and the original two colours. I would have use tossed the old ivory body so it nice to give it a second life

Sweet! I just bought 57 new poscas because JoAnn's (online only) had them for 50% off and I had 20% on top of that so they were $1.60 each.🥳🥳👏👏
I can't wait to make some custom colors. Thanks 💗

So glad to have come accross this video. I really need a tan coloured posca and didn't know what to do. Thank you!

Amazing!! Love these! If I can offer a little advice, you definitely don’t need to beat the nib of pen against something to prime it. You can gently push it down a few times and it will prime and be much easier on your nib. Thanks for your hard work. It’s appreciated

He ROCKS! So helpful! Imp also that he's responsive to us with replies. QUESTION: I thought there were two types of Poscas, oil based and water based. Now I'm a bit confused. Bless you for helping us.

I don't usually comment on anything much, but I just had to say thanks and give you some support.
Firstly, great to see someone else trying to mix POSCA pens. So good when you don't have the colour you want. You had some really good ideas - I particularly like the mug idea (ask me how I know!!!)
Secondly, a question. I've tried to do the same with the brush pens, cos I really like the brushes but they only come in 4 or 5 colours. Have you ever used the POSCA brushes? I can't seem to get them to come apart like the others.
Anyway - thanks.

Hey mate just wondering if you have tried refilling them with tube acrylic paint and some water or a medium to mix the paint with I've got heaps of acrylic tube paints. Also do you know roughly what the posca paint consistency is I'd love to do custom colours and try to get as close as i can to poscas paint consistency. Cheers

Molotow has empty pens to mix up colors. Doesn’t posca have them? And is it an idea to use the empty molotow with posca ink or are their tips not good enough?

I have tried twisting in both directions. Did they change the design of their new pens or something? Or is it just stuck on really tight?

I even got pliers and now the plastic is slightly damaged 🙃 but still functional

I have water brushes that also twist the opposite direction. I'm suspicious It's so that it's not as easy to take off concerning most people in the world are right-handed.

Thnx for the vid. I would really like to know if other people find the red color so weird from Posca. Not the hard deep red I'm used to from basically any other pencil. Or my supplier sells me fake ones :\ I have both the 3M and 1M

I got the 2 sets which make them about 50 in total
