Wingers in defensive zone

Strong side winger = the winger on the side of the ice the puck is on
- be aware of the d on the other team and stay in the shooting lane
- when your team gets possession of the puck, get to the boards to be a support pass for your teammate who has the puck

When you get the puck, your job is to advance the puck out of your zone by skating with it, passing it or chipping it off the boards and out

Weak side winger = the winger on the opposite side of the ice as the puck
- cover the slot
- be aware of the weak side defence player on the other team
- be ready to be a support option for the puck carrier on your team
