Welcome Back to Pellet Tech 101. General guide video here for replacing the Quadra-Fire pellet stove loop igniter element. This replacement was in the Classic Bay 1200i model. The Quadra-Fire Castile, Santa Fe, Contour, and Mt. Vernon pellet stove models will be very similar for the igniter changeout.

If you are burning pellets only we recommend the 300 watt loop igniter. If you are burning a mixture of other bio-fuels we recommend the 380 watt loop igniter. Links below for reference.

You save me some money I’m sure. It was clogged holes. I took it all apart. The igniter was fine. I noticed the clogged holes clean them out, and that baby started right up! Very, very grateful

Please help! Live off grid and am freezing!! My Quadra Fire Mt.Vernon cradle that holds the igniter is not attached and is swinging freely. Cannot figure out how to reattach it to the stove?

Thank you for the videos. I found that my igniter was shot and I have the new one. However, the encasing around the igniter is very tight on my stove model and it does not provide enough space for me to change it. It looks like everything is welded around it so I can’t just remove it by taking out screws. Any help would be much appreciated.

I checked the ohms on my igniter and it seems fine. I can see the igniter glowing red but it doesn’t ignite pellets in the firepot. Could it be a fan that is not pushing air across the igniter?

Replaced the igniter, but it doesn't heat, what could be the problem?
