For someone who is just learning canvas apps, I found all these bugs and limitations extremely frustrating as I wasted heaps of time looking for bugs in my work that ultimately turned out to be issues with the modern controls. To that end, I will continue to use the classic options until they are merged. I would be embarrassed to release products like the modern controls that have so many limitations and bugs.

I hate the autofill with the new controls. I want to prevent that as I reuse the controls in my apps a lot and they keep trying to suggest things...

Excellent video as usual! I am really excited to be able to use these controls but unfortunately, have had to stay away from any of those that are not GA because it's never a good idea to use them in production apps. I feel that their focus has been on everything Copilot, so getting these to GA have been put on the back burner. It's a shame because they really are nice controls visually.

I'm trying to develop a simple app based on the modern table control, however the Selecteditems property is 0 even when I have rows selected. It seems to work correctly when I first add the table to an app, but after a few refreshes, the Selecteditems stops working. any ideas?

Try do set 0px padding on modern text input or reduce the alpha value for Font color, or Focus border color, list goes on.

Is this going to resolve modern Table Issue if the records has more than 25 items? Issues encounter when the record is more than 25

Hi, I am still facing the issue with Selecting item. It randomly works.

When I set the toolbar to a vertical layout, the text alignment doesn’t look right. By default, it’s center-aligned, which makes it look clunky.

I, too, am excited about Modern Controls, and although they were mostly in preview, I hadn't had too many issues with using some inside my projects. However, now they're becoming more standard, I have I issue which has biten me, how do you reset the darn things 😅 Is it me

Hello, perfect video again. I’ve a question for the combobox.
I use it in a form to select a value of, let’s say column A In the next datacard I want the value of Column B to be filled in a textinput the value is depending on the choice in the combobox. That is all working. However, when I go to newform the value of the combo box says, “Find Items” and in my opinion it should be IsBlank() but the value in the textinput is not Blank() and shows the last value that was in that textinput control.
I try for days now to solve that but even with Ai and ChapGPD I can’t get it done.
Any suggestions?

Hi Power apps guy! Finding your videos super interesting. I'm having troube using the built in sorting in modern power apps. I'm using Sharepoint List. Cannot order by ID which is number, nor any of the text columns. Anyone else finding this issue?

Would you recommend to hold off on using modern controls?

Yep, I look forward to the modern controls, but for the next few years, my advice is to stay away!
