the world’s first medieval electronic instrument

hurdy gurdys, lutes, gregorian chants, thundering drums and punishing percussive foley fx. the EP–1320 is the first of its kind: featuring a large library of phrases, play ready instruments and one-shot samples from an age where darkness reigned supreme, the instrumentali electronicum is the ultimate, and only, medieval beat machine.

unlock the magic of medieval sounds

the EP–1320 comes with hundreds of medieval sounds and samples, a redesigned set of send effects and punch-in fx, a brand new arpeggiator and a collection of craftily captured multi-sampled instruments. the line input and the internal microphone allow you to sample your own sounds in just seconds. whether you’re into making sultry serenades or bubonic beats, the EP–1320 has you covered.

become your own bard
alongside a bucketful of one-shot samples the instrumentalis electronicum features a number of readily playable medieval instruments - play them on the paeds or on an external midi keyboard.

summon your inner troubadour

in demus mode, choose any of the 9 medieval songs and jam along using the sounds and instruments on the four banks. add some punch-in fx and you’re ready to send any tavern floor into a frenzy! (also perfect for banquets and fetes).

This is a product designed for a completely different crowd than the usual EM folks. This is for geeks (like me) who love medieval stuff, RPGs, Dungeon Synth, traditional music, folk music, and ALSO like making music. I got it to accompany myself playing on the (actual) harp, for instance, so I don't need a medieval backup band to play Celtic tunes. Very much looking forward to it allowing me to be a Medieval One-Man Band.

People are complaining about the 32MB limit for samples, I did at first too. Upon further reflection, I think it's an excellent constraint to have for newcomers to samplers like me, where I'd be tempted by chucking in more things than I can handle. I'm can't wait to get my hands on this

Medieval techno... was popular around late 90s early 2000. I loved it😂

I read somewhere that the Ko2 has a whole chip inside it which was left unused by TE in the OG device. So they should be able to do big software updates on the original Ko2 - maybe they can add the new arpegiator in an update soon

I’m so happy the K.O. II is getting more popular. It will be easier to sell mine. The UI is maddening.

A couple of seriously noob questions that hopefully someone can answer.

1) It was mentioned that the medieval themed one has twice the MB than KO2. Is that likely to matter?
2) If I were to get the KO2 I could just load medieval samples on it anyway right?

There is also an arpegiator which original KO II dosent have

honestly, i really love this, and this version makes me SUPER EXCITED
but also, now that we know it's a series of products, this makes the ep a REALLY exciting product.
i cant wait to see what themes they choose next, and what twists they apply to upcoming versions.

we saw what they are capable with with the classic pocket operators, and how uniques some of them were with the limited UI
