Do not forget the protracted withdrawal or injury from antidepressants 😢

Also ...one of the HUGE reasons this is not recognized is... most people don't have any problems getting off these drugs.... so when someone is injured by them...they are NOT believed.

20 months into Bind and still no awareness, support or treatment for these disabling symptoms. How do we educate Doctors who don’t believe this condition even exists? They can easily prescribe but have no knowledge of tapering.

I am 4.5 years off and still not right. This destroyed my life. Stole my 30s. My ability to find a good partner (be a good partner) and have babies. Im on disability at its not enough to live off of

The problem is....my disability isnt for protracted benzo withdrawal....it is for 'all the myriad' of symptoms i had been "diagnosed" with...from the withdrawal. My dr still wants to label me as "nuts" rather than injured.

All these people involved in this deception, or not willing to stand up at their colleagues expense will surely get theirs from the almighty. Let me commit a crime on someone though....i bet i don't get away with it!

My taper off remaining 0.5mg klon. began April 2019 and ended November 30, 2019. My withdrawal was severe with over 60 symptoms. I’m slowly healing. But I still have lingering neurological and physical symptoms to this day from BIND. The neurological injury from klon. is far worse than living with my mild TBI.

I was prescribed Ativan after a mild TBI. I took it for 7weeks and it did help with sleep. Then it stopped working. I quit cold turkey but was miserable so reinstated at .25 mg then tapered off very slowly for a few years so I could remain functional. Last dose was less than a tenth of mg. in Nov. 2020. I now wish I had tapered more quickly but I’m off 3 plus years now. Not symptom free but doing better. I have not and will never take a benzodiazepine again and it is listed as an allergy on my medical record.
