Number one, I'm not worth a bullet, number 2, I live in a carry/concealed state and I do, number 3, I'm mid 60s, not really afraid of dying or prison so I would shoot first. So, even at my age, it's a little risky for a Killer, he'll probably look for an easier target.

Great information, as always. But tourniquets are actually pretty unlikely to cause you to need an amputation if the medical personnel that treat you know when it was applied. I could be wrong, but I believe they shoot for less than 6 hours. Most tourniquets have a little area dedicated for writing the time it was applied. That way, no matter where you end up they know when it was applied. If you apply it to someone else, some people will either write the time on that person's forehead or write T on their forehead. That way in the event the tourniquet is not noticed by medical professionals in the heat of the moment, the giant letter or numbers shows them there is a tourniquet they should be looking for.
