A Mark Twain book "Connecticut Yankee In King Arthur's court" is pretty interesting, the main character just acts like a wizard while using guns he made, and explosives.

Edit- thank you people in the comments for correctly telling me where the quote is from.

The infinite ammo might help a lot with the issue of accuracy too.

MP7. High penetration against pesky armor, high rate of fire (Using the infinite ammo clause as stated for maximum brrt) and small enough to be concealed in a bag. But Marcus, you forgot the most powerful item in D&D: the Bag of Holding. Any firearm could be concealed if the bag is on your person.

Infinite ammo?
Orbital Nuke Strike. Always concealed. Always Ready. ALWAYS LETAL.

Kriss Vector in .45 ACP. It's biggest weakness is typically how quickly it empties its stock 25 round magazine, but with infinite ammo this is no longer a problem. .45 ACP is a very powerful round, and the Vector's internal recoil compensation makes it feel like a laser pointer compared to most SMGs.

For low magic, 10mm pistol.

For high magic, probably an AR with thermals sighted out to 100 yards.

Because in low magic, concealment is key. In high magic, the common folk will think of you as just a fancy artificer. Your biggest issue is gonna be mages, who you absolutely wanna keep at range. Thermals are for invis ambushes

"Yeah, the Enola Gay"

I'd choose a Burgess folding shotgun, as it can be hidden beneath a cloak or longcoat.

Forgotten Weapons has a video or two covering it.

Honestly i would like the potential adaptability a shotgun offers: birdshot. Buckshot. Big heavy slugs. Silver birdshot for stuff like werewolves. Salt rounds for unholy beings. Metallic K slugs for burning big monsters from the inside and perhaps some fleshy undead

A gun i would went in a fantasy D&D is the 1897 model trench sweep or more commonly known as the trench shotgun, its a 7 round shotgun that has the slam fire feature, which means you hold down the trigger and rack the slide, you can unload a full tube in a swarm/group of enemys in the way
