The US/UK attack on the North Stream forcing Russia to send LNG to Europe ... when it could have sent it in a much more environmentally friendly way via an already existing pipeline.However the Germans needed to be forced to build LNG facilities to be able to buy American gas at 10x the price of the Russian gas.
