"No griefing" means you're not allowed to break other players builds, not that it's not possible to do so, the only "claiming" there is on the server is if you build on the land. So that it if anyone else trying to build on that piece of land it wouldn't be allowed.

Really old styled builds from a long time ago, from people who don’t even play anymore. TRUELY a wonderful experience, and mojang should help servers grow, they need better Java multiplayer because Minecraft is lonely without friends; isolated.
