I was lucky. Five years before Ancestry went online (10+ years before I could afford to join), my wife and I took an adult-ed class in genealogy which included a field trip to one of the big LDS stakes in Los Angeles. The instructor really emphasized the importance of working from primary and secondary sources whenever possible, and taking even those with a grain of salt. It made me VERY conservative when I finally got into Ancestry. This not to say I haven't made mistakes, but I have, so far, managed to avoid that one. 😉

So how can i fix my tree? Years ago at lds they showed parents fir my great grandmother, that are notcorrect. I now have people that are shown on census w/ fam search, and ancestrys results are actiallymy cousins, notmygreat grandparents
