I can’t remember who said this but it goes something like “Dogs don’t need to learn how to act like a dog around other dogs” Which makes sense, being a dog is what they were born to do. They need to be taught how to be a dog in a human world. It is the actions or inactions of humans that dictate a dog’s behavior.

Just went to a dog event in Milwaukee WI yesterday. Not one issue. I did see a fool with 2 dogs on harnesses being dragged around. Met a lot of different breeds, one Belgian got a little forward with my girl, a young male but she handled it peacefully. I have a 140lbs Cane Corso.

I agree with the other comments. I've been watching your videos off and on for the last few months. You are a pro! I have a mature dog I trained myself and an adopted 3yr old bully that things are going well with. Still, I'll never be at a point where I can't learn something new!

This is all so true! And yes, why do they want their dog to meet yours, so true! I took my (F/3) GSD to Home Depot two days ago. She was doing great but when we got to the tall noisy Halloween decorations her tail started going in between her legs. Trained her and left that situation because she was uncomfortable.

It's worth it to have a well trained dog. Untrained dogs are a nuisance at best. Earlier this week someone was letting their dogs run off leash outside near where I work. I work with children and we were outside enjoying the beautiful weather. A coworker said, "Look, dogs!" I went to the edge of the playground with the biggest scowl I could muster and yelled at them a couple of times to "GO HOME!" And I mentally prepared myself for what could potentially happen. Owner was coming behind trying to catch them. The next day a kid asked me why I was angry at the dogs, to which I replied (kids level), "because they were disobedient." Dog's are a liability, thank you for teaching folks to be responsible pet owners!

Harness is a tool used to have dogs pull loads. Get the harness off your dog and get a good collar.

please make a video on training someone's bernese mountain dog. we got ours like a month ago at 7 months (8 months old now). he doesn't listen a lot of the time and he gets distracted easily, he also gets really exited and stuff around people. We want him to be able to walk out side without jumping at people, pulling, and all that stuff. Thanks

Even if both are shaking tails and seem happy you just never know ow. I avoid it as one golden retriever all of a sudden changed his mood and started fighting with our border collie/australian shepherd. I’ll let them come close say hi and goodbye pulling back soon before hell gets loose!
