Reacting to things on the track is so much faster, I don't know much about the psychology/ anatomy behind it but I do know that responses linked to pain or danger is much faster than reactions to other things, and this can be seen when watching them drive and swerve out of the way in almost tenths of a second, it's truly incredible not just because of how fast their reaction time is but because of how accurate their reactions are to their environments. Because even if you have a faster reaction time, you still don't have the experience that they do and it hasn't become second nature to people like me.

the reaction time is partly the mechanics of your wrist, if you do every movement but press the button prior to pressing the button then you will be faster. e.g. dont relax your tendons and muscles, have them as prepared as possible to push your finger down and don't push your whole arm down its way harder to move than a finger, with that info i bet our time will fall 0, 2 or more

Btw the best way to test this is on a computer with a mouse. On a phone it really kills your reaction time because of the time it takes to actuate a click and such. F1 drivers alone in a room on a pc would probably hit around 150-160 because they train it daily.
