So glad you mentioned the Nuknives Kumpanter! I know it’s new but I’m surprised nobody else is talking about it. I picked it up because it looked solid and good price and it’s already my favorite knife. I’ve never had a front flipper so yeah it is nice having both that and the thumb stud. It’s very fidgetable! And sharp! I sliced the tip of my thumb halfway off, oof. Battle scars… anyway I love everything about it. The design is perfection in my mind.

Great selection. I don't think any of my front flippers have a thumb stud. I'll have to take a look at a few of these. Especially the Vosteed.

I have noticed a few newer companies on amazon with budget options that I am unfamiliar with (i.e. Nuknives, Trivista, JSWS, etc.). I have quite a good collection with about 30 knives. But I have no flippers (One front flipper). I have a thing about pocket peckers and I think flippers can be ergonomically problematic.
The most important thing about a knife is its use as a cutter not how fast it flips.
