How to add an existing YouTube video to your channel

If you want to add a video that is already on YouTube to your channel, it's easy to do by following these easy steps.

If you are featured on other channels, you cannot upload a second copy of an existing video, but you can link to the first copy from your channel by putting it into a playlist and then sharing the playlist on your channel homepage.

Broham your the man ! I'm 1337 or in this decade I guess simply called a power user. Hit my first strokes on a Commodore 64. I code Jscript, CSS, HTML, Perl, Ruby, Python, and a little SQL. I dominate Kali Linux and equally skilled with a Hex Editor. This had me stumped. I mean after 45 minutes of trying and just knew it was possible I was aggravated to say the least. It took that long for me to search for an answer being stubborn and knowing I would figure it out. Then when I did watched 10 or so videos that did not bring me an answer. So by then way past aggravated. Then I clicked your video. THANKS ! The Publish button was the part that eluded me. My Regards to you ! Subscribed . . . Gonna check the rest of your content later. Just wanted to add some family videos from my sisters page now i can.

Just be aware that you are only posting a "link" to the video, not copying the actual video itself. In other words, if the channel or the video is deleted from the source, it will no longer be available.

Actually _moving_ the video is more involved. And moving all the other information (like comments) seems to be impossible.
