My Year 2017 Rewind (Not Sam Kolder Inspired)

Looking back on the past year, it’s incredible what I’ve been able to do and see. It began with the completion of my one-year teaching contract in South Korea. Before beginning my four-month solo backpacking trip, my friend and I stopped in Japan to explore Osaka and Kyoto. This would kick off a magical period of travel and self-transformation. Following Japan, I headed to Southeast Asia. The first stop was Thailand (Chiang Mai), which had quite a lot to offer. After some incredible moments there, it was off to Myanmar, a country that was unlike anything I had ever experienced before. I came across more beautiful people with so many stories to tell. Next up was Spain, where I connected with amazing people once again. I spent time in Barcelona, Bilbao and Madrid. I traveled with my sister and cousin, the first family members I saw since leaving Boston fifteen months earlier.

A month flew by, and it was finally time to return to Boston. I had truly come full circle. The summmer was spent with family and figuring out my next step. So far, so good since coming home. It’s been a crazy roller coaster, as I decided to pursue photography/videography full-time as a freelancer. It’s starting to pay off. I can’t help but be grateful for all the experiences over the last year. I’m so blessed to have the opportunity to pursue my dream. It’s beyond exciting to share my lessons and stories with others. Let’s crush 2018!

This was incredible! We're finishing up our teaching contract here in Japan and feel the exact same way about 2018. SO many new, exciting, good, creative things.
