That was pretty cringe worthy, 2017 has been pretty crap for a lot of people around the world and 2018 isn't looking any better. With the influx of bigoted pricks who are getting away with their vile, hateful behaviour and actions far too often while the victims are being punished for standing up for themselves and others then it's hard to have much hope for the future.

Every year i recognize less people. I think i know about 15-20 people and i watch maybe 2 or 3 of them regularly.
It used to be cool to see all the big youtubers together but now it has just become a lot like disney as you said. Youtube promotes whoever they want and makes them money and the connection is almost gone.

There was so much going on that I just couldn’t keep up. They put too many people in for the time given. They should extend it if they want that many people in because I didn’t spot 70% of the people in the credits!

the point of youtube rewind if you watch them all they put people who buzz in general... its sad but its hard to buzz in gaming.... you have everything in the vids: despacito most views on youtube ever (4, 4 billions views), slime, ridge spinner, all the memes, man's not hot, the eclipse. and above that im pretty sure you need minimum 1milion subs to be in the rewinds... there is like more than 2000 with more than 1 mil subs so its hard to put everyone in it. Its sad for the smallest channel for sure

It would be nice to see more gamers and smaller channels in the future, but that's too many people to put in one video. If that is done people would be saying the same thing they are saying right now, "I only know like 3 of those people." I honestly don't blame them now and in the future since there are a lot of content creators globally. The only reason why you only recognize a few is because the ones you don't recognize are from other countries in Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America. 

Video wise this year, I feel like it was filled with trends/memes you can find in snapchat, twitter, and Instagram. It wasn't a youtube rewind video, it was more of a social media rewind video.If youtube really wanted to make youtube rewind video then they should see what content is being created by big and small youtubers like challenges, gamers, makeup/nail, animations/sketches, etc.

Boy 2017 only had, fidget spinners, dead memes, dabbing, Shrek all star meme, Despacito, equality bullshit, Zombies!?!, tons of Youtubers I don't give a shit about, paulers, biased late night show shit spitter, and mediocre animators except Simon's cat that actually deserved the spotlight.
