About the algae growing in the water, you need a mash sack, filled up with about 2 or 3 kg of hay 'make sour it's bone dry ' put it in the water container. Works for about 2 years after needs to be replaced, greetings from Romania.

Nice! I've had an almost identical setup for years. Survived the great Texas grid down for a week with my system in the big freeze a couple of years ago. It kept some lights on, the TV going, as well as my 90 gal aquarium. HIGHLY recommend you put some distance between your propane system and your solar system. A short in any cabling connected to the batteries can melt through the propane tank and/or gas lines in less than a second. Also recommend shopping for RV accessories for whatever you need for household appliances and lighting. Anything you can run directly from the batteries on 12 volts will conserve your batteries vs the losses of converting to 120 through the inverter. Anderson power products are the industry standard, and it is highly recommended to fuse your 12 volt distribution box when/if you get one. Also to be considered is lightning. A strike on any tree in the near vicinity will dissipate laterally through the ground in all directions as well as inducing extremely high currents in your wiring. IT DOES NOT HAVE TO BE A DIRECT HIT. Just close will ruin your day, which leads back to concerns on the nearby proximity to your propane setup.

My neighbor has been with interstate battery for 20 years. Warehouse manager.

He just gave me (4) 190 Ah Tmobile batteries that come from the cell towers.tall/thin batteries. They have some kind of contract to replace them every 2 years but they're very high-end 10-12 year batteries. They just bring 10-15 at a time and they're all still holding 13.10volts even before I top off charged them. 2 of them are 2020, but 2 are actually 2023 They hold their voltage for a long time too. I love it man, that's the hookups.

I have solar:
(2) 180 watt
(2) 100 watt
And I'm planning on buying (4) more 100 watts and each set will have their own controller. That way I have redundancy just in case. Plus, mixing and matching panels you only get whatever the worst one in the set is doing, so I'm keeping the 3 size/brands separate. You can use 2 Chargers on one battery simultaneously though and it doesn't suffer any losses that way. I watch a guy that makes these videos all the time under hundreds of different types/kinds/situations, etc. I'm still learning, but there's a lot to this. Can't just jump in and know everything that's foe sure.

You can buy these IBC tanks in black. They transport cooking oils in them. I have about 20 of them set up for wicking beds. Saves a lot of trouble painting them. Hooroo

I've two 110w briefcase solar panels. Yesterday in the deluge rain storm they pulled 40w through it all. I regularly get 200 and it's hit peak input 220w a few times. It triggers the controllers fan to kick in. Total weight of set up 55lbs/25kg.
Ironically my off grid living/bug out preparation is actually just a BarnHouse in the mountains.

You can box in the 1000 liter IBC with steel fencing panels rather than painting it black. Paint is cheaper but the steel surround is stronger and will keep the water cooler.

very sweet setup ken you could easily quickly unhook and take every thing with you my my a toyota your not playing truly paradise Ken every thing well thought out and perfect i had clamps from inverter to batteries and they corroded into dust they where new maybe a year later the teeth blue white powder i dont know why they was close to fifty bucks just as replacement high amp clamps smart apc hooked to two large batteries out of our old diesel pusher coach i fingered it would keep them charged over the winter and forgot about them dielectric grease would have stopped the corrosion had i knew i like the clear dielectric grease it dont make a mess yours may never have that problem i dont know why mine did hope you do another walk around video one day by creek and maybe them giant mounds lol you knowing so many languages and translating so many old books you have to know more about east usa than i think i know there's many other interesting contraptions for tinkering fun only you must know i truly am a forest gump hillbilly that has tinkered a lot from childhood i love to know the unknowable and do the undoable just for kicks and giggles batting 1 for every 1000 is still incredible to me you know lol
