One thing that WG doesn't say about spending national fragments is that the limit for one nation is 64 fragments (2%). If you have, let's say, 150 German and 10 French fragments you will get only 2% for those (64 German fragments will be used) BUT NOT 5% as one could calulate 160 fragments = 5% (32 per 1%).
It's important to check all your national fragments before the event and calculate how much % you can actually get for what you have.

If you have 140mm+ gun top of the turret is overmatch, if they are side scraping it has similar weakspot to bz75 - elevated engine deck, 30mm easy pen.

There was a 6-7 month period between 780 and Lion, not a year. An assembly shop tank every 6 month seems to be the plan.

Idk how to feel about this. On the one hand I love German tanks and hope I have enough to get one myself, on the other I remember seeing players who had never been past tier 6 suddenly playing Lions horribly at tier 10 because they whipped out the wallet.
