EA buys a very successful single player RPG developer. Years later, figures out single player games can be successful? Like buying a truck, then years later figuring out "wait, I can move big stuff with this?"

Frostbite wasn't chosen because of its "immense graphical capability" etc. it was chosen because it was an engine they owned, so they didn't have to pay royalties, it was really only because of the economical "benefits".

The saddest to see leave is Drew Karpyshyn not only was he responsible for a lot of the mass effect lore he also wrote all the cannon mass effect novels.

This is like watching that friend that you loved and shared a lot of fond and stellar memories and they grow up and they are now a crackhead and are a shell from what they were. It's sad to watch bioware die.

I think part of the problem is Bioware has experienced the Ship of Theseus paradox. If you replace most of the experienced talent, is it really even Bioware anymore?

My bets are on dragon age 4 being a disaster, Broware being shut down, and the next mass effect game never being released...a sad yet likely outcome.
